Our Cause
We are fighting to protect the Candwr Water Station, Ponthir, and the surrounding countryside from a proposed 305-acre solar farm. While we support renewable energy, this industrial-scale project risks destroying vital farmland, damaging local wildlife habitats, impacting ancient heritage sites, and reducing the quality of life for residents.
Our campaign is about ensuring renewable energy is developed in the right places—not at the expense of our rural landscapes, food security, or community safety. By standing together, we aim to preserve the character, beauty, and environmental health of our area for generations to come.
